The Solar Plexus represents your will, personal power and mental thoughts. The Solar Plexus is located in the upper part of your stomach, near your diaphragm. The Solar Plexus is associated with the color yellow. It is connected to the element of fire and associated with the sun, heat and energy. The Solar Plexus is how we assert ourselves in life. It is associated with overcoming fear, for taking control of one’s life, taking responsibly and the forming of your beliefs and decision making. It is also associated with your self-confidence, your identity and your personality. A blocked Solar Plexus can lead to a lack of direction in life and irresponsibility. People that have a blocked Solar Plexus may view themselves as victims in life & that nothing goes their way. They generally expect that people will treat them poorly and they are unworthy of anything positive and happy.
When the Solar Plexus is balanced, you may be more assertive, have a clear ability to assert your will. You generally have harmonious relationships and you can easily speak up for yourself. You are not afraid to maintain control and move forward in life. You may also have the courage to complete tasks that you are afraid of or hesitant to do.
The following stones will help charge and heal the Solar Plexus: Amber: helps promote mental clarity and assists with decision making. Citrine: helps increase self-esteem. Tiger Eye: helps to increase your will and helps to release fear and doubt. Put these stones next to your bed on your nightstand or on your desk at work. The following essential oils assist with healing the Solar Plexus: Chamomile, Bergamot, and Rosemary. You can mix them with a carrier oil such as sweet almond and put them on your wrist to wear throughout the day, you can put the oils in a diffuser, or even put them in a hot bath. Foods associated with opening the Solar Plexus include: Bananas (said to be a natural anti-depressant), yellow peppers, lemons, corn and chamomile tea.
The Solar Plexus is associated with the Digestive System, Ulcers, Diabetes Liver Disease and Celiac Disease. The Solar Plexus governs your metabolism and if blocked it can lead to over eating and stomach issues.
Meditation works great for helping to open the Solar Plexus and to keep it balanced and healthy. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Relax your arms, relax your hands, relax your fingers and toes. Take a deep breath in and as you exhale, release your muscles. Take another deep breath in and as you exhale, imagine a yellow healing ball of light encircling your abdomen. Imagine that this light is warm and healing energy. Imagine it bringing you comfort, confidence and positive thoughts. Take a third deep breath in and as you exhale, imagine happiness & light entering your Solar Plexus, filling you with happiness and positivity. Say the following affirmations as you sit in a relaxed position with your eyes closed:

2. I love myself and others.
3. I let go of limitations that others put on me.
4. I am positive.
5. I am non judging of others.
6. I am comfortable moving forward in life and good things will come my way.
7. I am confident of my abilities.
8. I believe in myself.
9. I am strong and brave.
10. I have the power to move forward.
